The story of where pet store puppies come from

Most people have experienced the impulsive desire to buy a pet upon visiting a pet store....What people don't know is that, although this may seem like the simplest option, it is far from the right one.

* Fact: Dogs used for breeding suffer an endless misery imprisoned in small cramped cages, often soiled with their own excrement, breeding litter after litter till they can no longer reproduce.
* Fact: When the parents are no longer useful to the millers they are disposed of- (shot- beat or what ever methods they want to use. )
* Fact: the average puppy mill will house between 65 and 75 animals, most housed in hutch-style cages with wire floors. Fecal matter drops to the ground below and waste accumulates beneath the cage, providing a haven for flies and other vermin. Puppy mill owners are intent on keeping costs down to increase the profits of their puppy sales.
* Fact: Currently federal animal cruelty laws offer little punishment for puppy mill owners, and many simply pay their fine and return to work.

As long as the public continues to buy puppies from substandard facilities, these disgusting operations will continue to profit and proliferate!
