Rescue of the month

by Critter Jungle Administrator Thursday, 11 October 2007

What can I say about this beautiful 10month old girl? Well let me start by saying she is a very sweet and happy cattle/border collie mix that loves to please her human companions. She is amazing with kids; she will do anything to please a child. She loves to give hugs and loves any attention that anyone is willing to give her. She has not met a dog that she does not like. Since she has been in our care she has been exposed to many situations such as 2 legged and 4 legged visitors, cats, chickens, 4 wheelers, a flyball tournament where she met many different dogs and people and not once did she react badly. We have also introduced her to the treadmill & horses but they are not her favorite thing. She is getting used to them as she wants to please but for now I think that a farm would not be best for her just yet. Our experience with Jessie did not start that way. You see, she was neglected and crated all the time with no love...

Benefits of Off-Leash Dog Parks

by Ginnette, Haven & Lacey Wednesday, 07 July 2004

parks Research shows that dogs are more than just companions. They provide both physical and mental health benefits to their people. Studies have shown that dogs who exercise and are allowed to run freely are less aggressive towards people than dogs that are under-exercised.
