Who We Are
Collie Rescue Network is a national non-profit organization established to provide for the rescue and care of collies that have been abandoned, surrendered, lost, neglected and/or abused. Our goal is to place each and every collie that comes into our care into a carefully screened, approved home where they will be loved and cherished as a member of the family. We are looking for families who are willing and able to commit to these sweet and gentle souls for the rest of their lives.
Adopting a friend
Our Adoption Process is as follows:
1. An application form can be found on our website at www.collierescuenetwork.com. Our Adoption Coordinator, Crystal Mocan will be in touch with you a few days after you send in your application. If you do not hear from anyone within 4-5 days after sending your application, please contact Crystal at adoption@collierescuenetwork.com.
2. If your application is approved, a home visit will be arranged and one of our volunteers will meet with you, in your home, with your whole family. This is a great opportunity to ask anything you'd like to know about rescue dogs or about the collie you are looking to adopt.
3. Meet the dog! If everything looks like your family and home are a good match for the collie you hope to adopt (and that the collie is a good match for you), arrangements are made to meet the collie at the home of the foster family. This meeting helps you make a fully informed decision about whether this is the right dog for your family as well as letting the dog get to know you a little bit prior to coming to live with you forever.
4. An adoption contract is signed and arrangements are made to have the collie come home with you. An adoption donation is requested at this time and we ask for a minimum donation of $275.00. Please understand that the adoption donation almost never, ever even comes close to covering all the costs incurred by the collie while in rescue. This minimum donation of $275.00 is requested to help off-set the costs of microchipping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating, medications received, and other incidentals that are needed by the collies in rescue to make them happy and healthy enough for adoption by families.
